After completing his Master’s degree in Counseling, EJ worked in residential and outpatient centers. A large part of EJ’s clinical work focuses on helping others increase awareness around behavioral and cognitive patterns that create obstacles in their life. EJ’s direct and supportive therapeutic style allows others to process thoughts, feelings, and emotions safely. He feels privileged to work with his wife Tarah, helping others build a foundation of love and respect. Tarah & E.J. are passionate about supporting couples in developing meaningful relationships and have developed a podcast, social media programs, and a 12-week Relationship Renovation program that has impacted hundreds of couples.
Finalizing her education, Tarah received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2004. She began her career in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 47208) working in private practice specializing in couples counseling. Tarah moved to Arizona in 2010 and founded He Said She Said Couples Counseling Practice alongside her husband E.J. Kerwin. Tarah & E.J. are passionate about supporting couples in developing meaningful relationships and have developed a podcast, social media programs, and a 12-week Relationship Renovation program that has impacted hundreds of couples.
MA, BC-DMT, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-certified Dance/Movement Therapist with over 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health and wellness. Robin has worked with individuals, couples, families and children in both community mental health and treatment centers. She has extensive expertise in trauma, relationships, addiction and couples/family systems. Robin’s dynamic approach includes utilizing psychodynamic, somatic psychotherapy, neuroscience, mindfulness and EMDR. She holds her MA in Somatic Psychology/Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University and is trained in EMDR, level II. Robin is grateful to be a part of this team and to support couples and individuals on their paths to developing new ways of relating and coping with past and current issues.
Tricia received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Business from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Tricia has spent the last seven years in property management, managing luxury vacation rentals and apartment complexes. Tricia shares her love of the desert with people around the world by selling cactus pads, creosote bouquets, and desert boho wedding goods through her Etsy business, DesertHomeStore. Her creativity, organizational skills, and vivacious spirit help ensure quality care at our counseling center.
Jessie has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a somatic experiencing certificate (trauma therapy). She has worked with individuals, groups, families, and couples in both residential and outpatient settings. Her specialties include addictions, mood disorders, and trauma. Jessie believes in the connection between body, mind, spirit, and heart. She helps couples and individuals utilize mindfulness to identify body sensations, feelings, and thoughts and effectively communicate their experiences. Jessie believes that slowing down and pausing are two superpowers in a relationship and that with practice, anyone can use these superpowers. Jessie has a person-centered approach to therapy and strives to be warm, kind, and loving with a good sense of humor during sessions. Jessie is a person that believes she must “walk the walk” and not just “talk the talk” – she lives her life consciously and intentionally and also shows up to her marriage in the same way.
Liz has a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Chicago and a master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has worked with individuals, groups, families, and couples in community mental health, college counseling, inpatient hospitals, and corporate settings. Liz has expertise in complex trauma informed treatment that supports social, racial, and economic equity and affirmation. Liz believes that early relationships shape the way one navigates current relationships. Liz has a psychodynamic approach to therapy where together we integrate and begin to see, accept, and embrace ourselves and others entirely instead of good and bad parts. Liz is grateful to be a part of the team and foster a safe environment to support individuals and couples on their therapeutic journey.

Lori has over 20 years’ experience in the mental health field supporting couples, families, and individuals. Lori’s unique therapeutic strengths include action-oriented therapies; she utilizes various techniques such as psychodrama, art therapy and talk therapy. Lori’s extensive training in psychodrama combined with her straightforward yet warm communication style helps clients identify and address the obstacles they are facing in their lives. We feel very grateful and honored to have Lori as part of our team.
