Our Staff

After completing his Master’s degree in Counseling, EJ worked in residential and outpatient centers. A large part of EJ’s clinical work focuses on helping others increase awareness around behavioral and cognitive patterns that create obstacles in their life. EJ’s direct and supportive therapeutic style allows others to process thoughts, feelings, and emotions safely. He feels privileged to work with his wife Tarah, helping others build a foundation of love and respect. Tarah & E.J. are passionate about supporting couples in developing meaningful relationships and have developed a podcast, social media programs, and a 12-week Relationship Renovation program that has impacted hundreds of couples.
Finalizing her education, Tarah received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2004. She began her career in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT 47208) working in private practice specializing in couples counseling. Tarah moved to Arizona in 2010 and founded He Said She Said Couples Counseling Practice alongside her husband E.J. Kerwin. Tarah & E.J. are passionate about supporting couples in developing meaningful relationships and have developed a podcast, social media programs, and a 12-week Relationship Renovation program that has impacted hundreds of couples.
Robin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-certified Dance/Movement Therapist with over 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health and wellness. Robin has worked with individuals, couples, families and children in both community mental health and treatment centers. She has extensive expertise in trauma, relationships, addiction and couples/family systems. Robin’s dynamic approach includes utilizing psychodynamic, somatic psychotherapy, neuroscience, mindfulness and EMDR. She holds her MA in Somatic Psychology/Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University and is trained in EMDR, level II. Robin is grateful to be a part of this team and to support couples and individuals on their paths to developing new ways of relating and coping with past and current issues.
Tricia is our Office Manager. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Business from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. She is a licensed Realtor ® in the state of Arizona. Tricia spent seven years working for large corporations managing luxury vacation rentals and apartment complexes. Tricia is a Certified Tourism Ambassador and enjoys giving recommendations for local restaurants and attractions.
She is happy to say she has found her true calling in helping people in the mental health field. Her creativity, organizational skills, and enthusiastic spirit help ensure quality care at our counseling center.
Jessie has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a somatic experience certificate (trauma therapy). She has worked with individuals, groups, families, and couples in both residential and outpatient settings. Her specialties include addictions, mood disorders, and trauma. Jessie believes in the connection between body, mind, spirit, and heart. She helps couples and individuals utilize mindfulness to identify body sensations, feelings, and thoughts and effectively communicate their experiences. Jessie believes that slowing down and pausing are two superpowers in a relationship and that with practice, anyone can use these superpowers. Jessie has a person-centered approach to therapy and strives to be warm, kind, and loving with a good sense of humor during sessions. Jessie is a person that believes she must “walk the walk” and not just “talk the talk” – she lives her life consciously and intentionally and also shows up to her marriage in the same way.
Brad Willison LPC has a master’s degree in social work and is trained in EMDR trauma therapy. He has worked in outpatient and residential settings where he specialized in trauma, addictions, and mood disorders. Brad believes in adjusting his approach to fit each person he works with through effective communication, focused observation, and flexibility. Brad has been leading groups on healthy relationships throughout his career, and he enjoys helping people understand new ideas through creativity and humor. Brad has built insight through his work with gender-specific groups about the role of gender socialization on our experience as people. Brad is a calming presence, compassionate to often stigmatized groups and patients, and rapidly builds trust. Brad looks forward to helping his clients through a grounded and structured approach to finding peace, serenity, and a collective purpose in their lives together.
Cristina Piastrini LAC has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northern Arizona University and is currently completing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She is a trauma-focused practitioner trained in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) and Ericksonian Hypnosis. She practices within an integrated framework that includes psychodynamic and emotion-focused oriented therapies and CBT modalities. Cristina has experience in working with multicultural and LGBTQ clients. She practices with empathy and sensibility and with considerations of cultural systems. Cristina holds a graduate degree in Anthropology and completed studies in the arts. She engages in artwork that includes cinematography, graphic design, and sculpture.
Mickella is our administrative office assistant. Mickella has a degree in business administration from Eastern Arizona College and is currently attending Northern Arizona University. Mickella has been in Tucson for eight years and loves it more with each passing year! Helping customers get access to valuable help is Mickella’s favorite part of working with us here at He Said She Said.
